The Frimpong-Manso Institute is a resource center established to contribute to the knowledge and experiences in the Christian body and the corporate world at large. This institute seeks to bring together a body of knowledgeable and experienced resource persons drawn from an eclectic mix of disciplines under the leadership of Rev. Prof. Paul Frimpong-Manso.

In the midst of several and Older Institutions premised to help address the Problems and Challenges, the Distinctive Features of the Newly established Frimpong Manso Institute (FMI) are:

  • Revolve around Shared Vision, Mission and Goals not Individuals and Persons to be Generational.

Frimpong-Manso Institute

 

Distorted Global and National Social and Economic arrangements, disoriented National Cultures and Values, Intellectual and Leadership Failures, Challenges with Globalization, Climatic Change and Global Warming, Infrastructural and other Resources Deficiencies, Threats of Terrorism, Wars and Pandemics and lowered levels of believe in God and Salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ continue to threaten the very existence of Human Beings and sustenance of Creation.

Nobility of Truth, Objectivity, Integrity, Fellow feeling and Fairness have decimated in favor of Selfishness, Materialism, Dishonesty, Deception and lost Values and Principles in a large measure.

Critically needed are National, Regional and Global Institutions that Research, Advocate and provide factual, Honest and Unadulterated view(s) of happenings to enable Users Change Approaches, Transform lives, Provide hope and ensure Sustainable Creation, Sustainable Economic Management that guarantee Equitable Wealth Creation, reduce Poverty, Cordial Human Existence and Relationships and build Communities and Nations where Truth, love, Compassion, Integrity, Prosperity and Respect are Cardinal Values in every Activity undertaken for and on behalf of the citizenry.

About the

FOUNDER

Rev. Prof. Paul Frimpong-Manso

Rev. Prof. Paul Frimpong-Manso is a well-respected global leader with over forty (40) years in Christian ministry and executive leadership. He is a Senior Reverend Minister, an Author and a Motivational Speaker.

He was the President of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council, the largest Christian body in Ghana, the past Chairman of the Ghana Evangelism Committee
and until recently (August 2022) was the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, Ghana.

As the immediate past General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, Ghana he set up the “Vision 3,000” which helped the church to successfully plant 3,000 local Churches within five (5) years. Thus, he was able to mobilize churches strategically and reposition them to be one of the key Christian Organisations in the country. Rev. Frimpong-Manso’s instrumental leadership led to the construction of an ultra-modern Head Office Complex for the Assemblies of God, Ghana, initiated the Pastors Welfare Policies and Systems, revitalized Prime Insurance Company for it to be among the leading insurance companies in Ghana amongst other developmental projects for the church. 

Paul, has equally been influential within the corporate world by serving on over twenty (20) corporate boards including financial institutions. Paul presently is the Board Chairman of eTranzact Ghana Limited, the Board Chairman of Kwamanman Rural Bank PLC, the Board Chairman of Thrivus Institute as well as the Council Member of Christian Service University. Also, he is a Board Member of the Henry Djaba Memorial Foundation to name but a few.

For national duties, he serves as the Board Chairman of the National Commission on Small Arms and Light Weapons and a member of the National Board of Trustees for the National Cathedral. Additionally, he was a Member of the Eminent Advisory Committee of the Electoral Commission.  

Currently, he is the Founder and President of Frimpong-Manso Institute, a Christian think-tank organization seeking to transform persons and societies through apolitical, faith-based, factual and ethical intervention. 

Paul is a Professor in Ministry and Theology from the Global University Springfield-MO USA. He holds a PhD in Theology from the University of Wales (UK), an Honorary Doctorate from the Pan African Theological Seminary/Clergy Council, a Master of Arts (MA) from the University of Sheffield, a Cambridge Diploma of Religious Studies from University of Cambridge (UK) and many other qualifications.

He is married to Rev. Mrs. Gladys Frimpong-Manso, a seasoned ordained minister of the Assemblies of God, Ghana and they are blessed with four (4) adult children. Rev. Prof. Paul Frimpong-Manso has, and still travels extensively to preach, teach in Bible Colleges as well as to speak at conferences and seminars globally.

Chairs

Mr. Bernard Joe Appeah

Chair: Governance, Leadership, Integrity and Management

Mr Bernard Joe Appeah is the founder, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Consultant for Pentax Management Consultancy Services Limited; now on retirement. He presently engages in Christian leaders training, Counselling, Christian writings as well as serving on various boards.

 

As the Managing Consultant, Mr. Appeah worked on several Consultancy assignments for virtually all the Development Partners, Traditional Banks, Rural and Community Banks, Public Institutions and Private Sector Corporates, International Non-Governmental Organizations and executed assignment for major Donor funded projects both within and outside Ghana between 1997 and 2021.

He is an accomplished Development Management Consultant with over three (3) decades of Professional local and international work experience in Governance, Decentralization, Private sector development, Leadership, Management and Integrity, Financial Sector and Human Capital development. In the fields of Governance, Leadership, Management and Integrity; Bernard Joe Appeah has both worked as a Lecturer, Teacher, Trainer, Practitioner, Mentor and Counsellor.

Joe Appeah’s work experience prior to establishing Pentax Management Consultancy Limited spans from Teaching in a high school, District Budget Officer, Formulation Team Member and Acting Head of the Enterprise Development and Investment Promotion Units of the Central Regional Development Commission (CEDECOM). A part time lecturer at the Business School of the University of Cape Coast, Senior Financial Analyst at the Ghana Water Company, Assistant Principal Consultant and Faculty Member in charge of Marketing, Strategic Planning and Human Resources Management at the National Banking College where he trained Middle to Top level Bankers in Ghana.

On Corporate Governance, Joe Appeah has served on over forty (40) Boards of Institutions ranging from Financial, Insurance, Pharmaceuticals, Education, Hospitality, Police Hospital and two (2) Ministerial Advisory Boards.

Bernard, currently serves as the Board Chairman for the Ghana Microfinance Institutions Network (GHAMFIN), Centre for Local Government Advocacy (CLGA), and Member of the Boards of Glico Group Ltd. and Glico Life Insurance Ltd., amongst others.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (1994) and an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Economics with Statistics (1987) both from the University of Ghana. Additionally, he holds a Diploma in Investment Management (1990) from Turin, Italy, a Post Experience Certificate in Project Management (1992) from the University of Bradford, England, a Diploma in Adult Training and Facilitation Skills (1997) from the International Department of Aarhus University, Denmark. He has attended and made presentations at several Local and International workshops.

Bernard has travelled extensively in Africa, Europe, Asia and the Americas Professionally, for studies as well as for tourism and a father with Adult Children. Bernard Joe Appeah is a Christian and is passionate about Salvation for all through Christ Jesus.

Dr. George Manful

 

Chair: Environment and Sustainability

Dr. George Manful is a seasoned environmentalist and climate change expert with national and international experience of over forty (4 0) years. He holds a Bachelor of Science Honours (Chemistry); Master of Science (Environmental Science), Master of Science (Pedology), and Doctor of Philosophy (Environmental Technology).

 

He worked with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for a period of seventeen (17) years rising through the ranks to the position of the Director of Operations. He had oversight of the Agency’s work related to mining, manufacturing industries, and environmental assessments and permitting. He pioneered Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)’s work on climate change.

He is a veteran climate change negotiator also served as a Vice President to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) representing the continent of Africa of COP Bureau.

He worked for the United Nations Climate Change Secretariat in Bonn, Germany, for nearly seven (7) years, with responsibilities including Head of Global Environment Facility Liaison Unit and Capacity Building, as well as Senior Advisor to the Executive Secretary.

Between May 2005 and May 2015, he worked as a Senior Programme Manager, Climate Change at the United Nations Environment Organization (UNEO) Headquarters. He was in charge of assisting over seventy (70) developing countries in Africa, Asia, Oceania, and the Pacific, as well as Eastern Europe and the Caribbean, in preparing scientific and policy reports on climate change.

After retiring from active service with the UN, he served as a senior consultant (Senior Climate Change Advisor) to Ministry of Energy, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on national climate reports and carbon management systems. He also consults for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), United Nations Environment Organization (UNEO), United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

Dr. Prince Kofi Kludjeson

Chair: ICT and Cyber Security

Dr. Prince Kofi Kludjeson is the Executive Chairman and President of Kludjeson International Limited (KIL), a holding company for the following subsidiaries: GIHOC Electronics, which manufactures Akasanoma Electronics, CELLTEL Network Limited, the first and wholly

Ghanaian owned mobile phone network company, which provides mobile cellular telephone services, data and internet connectivity services, and smart cities solutions, ALLTEL Limited that develops technological devices such as tablet PCs known as KPad and smart phones. Also, Kludjeson Institute of Technology (KIT) trains and equip people in the effective and efficient use of technologies and associate tools.

Dr. Kludjeson, was educated in the United States of America. He is a well-known Ghanaian business magnate and industrialist who has been lauded for his pioneering efforts in, indigenous entrepreneurship and private sector development. He is looked up to as the vanguard of integration between Ghana and the global community as the world consolidates on Information Technology.

He has over forty (40) years of experience in the information technology and telecommunications industries, much of which he acquired during his extensive travels, innovative and creative leadership in leading major multinational companies into Africa.

He is currently the “Africa lead” for an international consortium led by Cisco International and several other prominent technological firms to innovate and transform Africa with Smart Cities Technology in accordance with the African Continental Trace Agreement on Digitalization Protocols.

Dr. Kludjeson from humble beginnings, starting with just twelve (12) pocket calculators; through determination, hard work and visionary skills built a successful business earning him several recognitions and awards. This included the “Arch of Europe Gold Star Award” by the prestigious Business Initiative Directions (BID) in France for its immeasurable contributions to the business world with high standing and professionalism.

Again, the Global Centre for Transformational Leadership, Member Association of Independent Christian University College of Missouri USA conferred a doctoral degree and African Prize for Transformational Leadership on Dr. Prince Kofi Kludjeson.

His involvement in several social community activities, entrepreneurial skills and drive has contributed to serving on some boards such as the Executive member of National Council of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), Chairman of Ghana Association of Mobile Network Operations, Member of Board of Trustees of National Science and Technology Foundation among others.

Dr. Kludjeson has also delivered several leadership lectures as well as being a resource person at many seminars, workshops and conferences across the globe. Amongst such speaking engagements was in 2014, when as a lead speaker at the Harvard Law School Conference in Cambridge Massachusetts spoke on Global Technological Transformation.

Very Rev. Prof. Johnson Kwabena Asamoah-Gyadu

Chair: Ministry and Theology

Very Rev. Prof. Asamoah-Gyadu, an ordained minister of the Methodist Church Ghana is Baëta-Grau Professor of Contemporary African Christianity and Pentecostal/Charismatic Theology at the Trinity Theological Seminary, Accra, Ghana.

He is also the current President of the Trinity Theological Seminary.

In 1986, Asamoah-Gyadu received a Certificate in Pastoral Ministry from Trinity Theological Seminary, Legon. He also obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion and Sociology in 1987, then a Master of Philosophy degree in Religion in 1994 from the University of Ghana, Legon. Yet again, in 2000 a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Theology from the University of Birmingham.

Rev. Asamoah-Gyadu has an outstanding local and international reputation as an academic cum ecumenical minister with a deep appreciation for detail. He is known for his writings related to African Pentecostal and Charismatic Christianity. He has also written a few articles related to digital media and digital religion.

Rev. COP Dr. David Nenyi Ampah-Benin

Chair: Media, Security and Cyber Security

Rev. Dr. David Nenyi Ampah-Bennin, is a Commissioner of Police (COP) and an ordained minister. He has a passion to reach the unreached for Christ by holding crusades, especially in rural areas where it is difficult to get access to good Christian materials.

And establishing Evangelical Churches to enrol more people who do not know Christ to know and accept Him.

Dr. Ampah-Bennin was commissioned into the Ghana Police Service in 1988 and has risen through the ranks to become a full Commissioner of Police having worked for over thirty-five (35) years in the Service.

Previously, he held the following positions in the Ghana Police Service:

Director-General, Welfare

Director-General, Technical

Director-General, Public Affairs

Director-General, Intelligence

Regional Commander for Greater Accra, Volta Region and Central Region.

Currently, he is the Director General/Special duties of the Ghana Police Service. For his hard work, diligence, integrity, and excellent leadership ability; he was awarded Chief of the Sector Commander in November 2005 for the African Union Mission in Sudan. He also, serves as the Chair for the Frimpong-Manso Institute’s thematic area; Media, Security and Cyber Security.

Dr. Ampah-Bennin is a product of Adisadel College and holds graduate certificates from the University of Ghana, Legon (BSc. Administration – Accounting option) and University of Cape Coast (M. A. in Human Resource Management). Also, he has a Doctor of Divinity from the CICA University of Canada and the USA.

Rev. Mrs. Gladys Frimpong-Manso

Chair: Women, Youth Empowerment and Gender

Rev. Mrs. Gladys Frimpong-Manso is an enthusiastic, self-motivated, reliable, responsible and hard-working person. She holds a degree in Theology, and an adjunct lecturer at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, a women’s leader and an author.

She has a passion for leading, guiding, defending and coordinating the Institute’s efforts on gender equality, development and promoting women and youth’s empowerment.

Rev. Mrs. Gladys Frimpong-Manso has held positions such as;

National President – Minister’s Wives’ Association, Assemblies of God, Ghana from August 2010 to August 2022

Regional President – Minister’s Wives’ Association, Assemblies of God, Ashanti Region from January 2001 to July 2010

Regional Director – Assemblies of God Women’s Ministry – Ashanti Region from January 1996 to July 2010

District Representative – Assemblies of God Women’s Ministry – Several Districts from 1987 to 1996

Ellis Owusu – Dabo

Chair: Science, Technology & Health

Ellis Owusu-Dabo is a Public Health Physician, Consultant Research Scientist and Pro Vice-Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi.

As a Professor of Epidemiology and Global Health, his area of expertise is in Medical Epidemiology and applied public health technologies. As a university

teacher, he has trained undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as mentored young faculty at both local and international levels.

He holds a PhD in Epidemiology and Global Health from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom, MSc. Public Health and Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi. He is a Fellow of the West Africa and Ghana Colleges of Physicians.
