Rev. Dr. Kwame Bismark Bansah, a Ghanaian national, is an experienced theologian, educator, and pastor with over 30 years of ministry and teaching experience. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Pan Africa Theological Seminary in Lome, Togo, completed in 2014, and a Master of Divinity from International Theological Seminary in Bradenton, Florida, which he completed in 2002. He also earned a Bachelor of Theology from West Africa Advanced School of Theology in Lome-Togo in 1999, and a Diploma in Theology from Southern Ghana Bible College, Salt Pond, in 1991.
Rev. Kwame Bansah has held numerous leadership and teaching roles in the religious and academic community. He served as the General Secretary of Assemblies of God, Ghana from 2018 to 2022, and as the National Director of the Ghana Evangelism Committee from 2015 to 2018. Currently, he serves as an adjunct faculty member at the Assemblies of God Graduate School of Theology in Lome, Togo (since 2016), and at the West Africa Advanced School of Theology in Lome (since 2012). He is also an instructor at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in Salt Pond and Accra (since 2022), and has previously taught at the International Theological Seminary in Accra (2003-2006) and at Glory Leadership Institute in Tema, Ghana (2006-2008).
In his pastoral career, Kwame has served as the District Pastor for Assemblies of God, Ghana, from 2002 to 2018 and as the head pastor of three Assemblies of God churches: Maranatha A/G (1992-2000), Unity A/G (2000-2020), and Charity A/G (2020-present). He was the founding pastor of Maranatha Assembly of God, Accra, Ghana, from 1992 to 2000.
Kwame Bansah has made significant contributions to theological education and literature. His publications include The Church Usher (2010), Transformational Teaching: A New Paradigm in Teaching God’s Word (2011), The Writing Guide: Your Path to Academic Excellence (2015), Missions and Ministry in Ghana: The Past, Present, and Future (2021), and The Cure for Covid-19: The Bible on Plagues and Pandemics (2021).
He brings a wealth of expertise in teaching and leadership with a focus on theology, missions, ministry, and research writing. His teaching experience spans across multiple levels, from undergraduate courses in research methods, church history, and administration, to master’s level courses in writing, missions, and church leadership. In addition to his teaching, Kwame has significant administrative experience, including organizational leadership, interdenominational networking, conference planning, and international project management.
Kwame is fluent in English, Ewe, and converses in Twi. His international experience includes travel to countries such as Togo, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Israel, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Austria.
He is married to Faustina, and together they have three children: Lois, Priscilla, and Selorm.
